Speckle, the Soul Thief (scale)
Ink and watercolor on 9”x12” watercolor paper
At the end of a long and costly quest, Speckle is about to lay his hand on the Dodecahedron of Purity. Once human, his journey has maimed even his twisted new form. Can this magical Platonic solid restore Speckle’s old form? Will his old form matter to him after all he’s done to get to this point?
This work uses a humanoid form, occlusion, perspective, placement in the plane, and size differences to give a sense of scale. It uses tiny, pointy teeth and thin gums to give a sense of creepiness.
